THE FILM

“Durch die Nacht” (“Through the Night”) is a low-budget feature film project written and directed by Andreas Elsener and starring Marco Michel.

The film tells the story of the student Alex and his problems. He is unhappy with his university studies, his flat mate is a stoner and is no help whatsoever, his fathers birthday is impending and his open relationship with foreign Art student Nicole bothers him more than he would care to admit.

Due to a chain of unfortunate circumstances Alex is forced to spend Saturday night in downtown Zurich. It is an odyssey through the streets of the city during which Alex meets a number of very strange characters.
